Recent elections have recorded lower voter turnout for younger portions of the population. The population of 18-24 year olds was 12% in Alberta during the last election in 2015. However, only 7% of young adults actually voted.
As the fastest growing demographic, we have the ability to meaningfully impact our future through one simple action: Voting.
We believe that students should and can have a say in the future of our province. By pledging to vote, you join thousands of other students across Alberta who want to make their voices heard.
The University of Alberta Students’ Union, University of Calgary Students’ Union, University of Lethbridge Students’ Union, the Students’ Association of Mount Royal University, and the Students’ Association of MacEwan University, are working to educate, motivate, and encourage you to GET OUT THE VOTE.
